In 2013, the board of the Forest City Gun Club tasked team manager Lee Summerford and head coach Zac Guerrettaz with starting a junior shooting team to be made up of the children of the club members. The Forest City Juniors was organized under the Scholastic Clay Target Program and first competed in 2014.
The program has developed into a national powerhouse, winning the SCTP National Championship each of the last 5 years, and winning may other squad and individual championships across the different events and divisions. The team competes in each division of SCTP, Rookie, Intermediate Entry, Intermediate Advanced, Junior Varsity, Varsity and Collegiate.
The success of the Forest City Juniors would be impossible without the support of our coaching staff, sponsors, parents and Forest City Gun Club.
